The base is made from strong, highly abrasion resistant nylon material and a riveted hard shell plastic cap to withstand grinding forces. Compared to the regular Rookie Pad Set, the Rookie PRO knee pads feature thicker EVA foam padding for increased shock absorption, higher quality / firmer elastic straps and an additional EVA foam O-ring in the inside of the pads which wraps around the knee caps, providing a more comfortable and highly protective contact between the pads and the rider's body.
